Dear all yall of the States or wherever else,
We survived another week!!! We worked dang hard this week and I am completely exhausted. Weve been doing great as a companionship and we have so far survived the heat and the rain.
I was a little crushed this Sunday when only 22 people showed up at church. It didnt even rain! They just didnt come! I am completely stumped. What do we do? We keep working I guess! And keep visiting. And keep teaching the Godhead. I took a lot of comfort reading Alma 32. You gotta dig that seed, and cultivate it, and believe all things and hope all things and suffer all things and you still might pull an Alma and get kicked out of the city! Or you might get thrown into prison! Nobody said it was gonna be easy!
So... thats the update from Horqueta. This week we suffered no injuries, no dengue, no run ins with police, nothing exciting hahah.
OH! but we did have one lesson interrupted because the peoples tucahn was jumping up and down on the branches behind my head. That was new. Yes, their tucahn. Their pet tucahns that live at their house and eat bananas from their hands. #paraguay
In another lesson we couldnt get anything done because their parrot was participating in the lesson and every five seconds said "huuuuuh?" like it didnt understand the conversation.
Oh! Also I had a nightmare the other day that I got back from my mission and no one could understand me and I didn{t know why and then I realized that I could only speak in spanish and I was so embarrassed! Hooooping that doesnt happen in real life.
But anyways. That{s all folks!
Love and stuff,
Hermana Scott
