On Tuesday we had transfers and it was all very mysterious. They told me I was leaving so I packed, and then at 5 am the next day we were in the church and the assistants to president showed up and they said, "Hermana Scott, get in the van." I am not even kidding.
I got in the van.
9 hours of travel later I'm in HORQUETA. Doing a PINK WASH. That means I'm almost the farthest out in the mission that you can go, being an hermana, and I'm starting from zero. Both me and my companion are new. They took out the old missionaries, closed the other area, and they gave the entire city to us!!! How cool right?
I have so much to say and no time to say it. Okay, long story short, we are working with the ... couple missionaries? Elder and Sister Cranney and they are from Washington and the first thing the Sister said to me is "Would you like some pasta salad? Or pumpkin bread?" .... it has been an amazing first week.
We only had 19 people in the church this sunday and the ward is basically disfunctional-- so we are like relief society president and first counselor, and really jack-of-all-trades missionaries. Its so coooool really I'm like dying I love it here so much! It was so funny we have no idea where anything is and so yesterday we were asking all the people in the streets, uhmmm where is the mormon church? And we're the missionaries of the city hahah que verguenzaaa
OH! And my companion is Hermana Martinez! Remember her? We left from the MTC together and she's paraguaya! Shes sooo cool! We get along great! Oh did I mention all the reunions are held in Guarani?! I LOVE THIS PLACE.
So uhhhmm I have a million mmore things to say but that's a little update!!!
LOVE you! Thanks for writing me all of you, I read every word! Enjoy your coldness and suffering haha I will be here getting a tan and eating pumpkin bread. Kisses!!
Hermana Scott
