Hey y'all!!!
I've got one word! BAUTISMO!!!! Yep! First baptism en 9 months in Horqueta and it was definitely the Lord's work! We've been working with little Leti for 4 1/2 months now, since I got to Horqueta so long ago jaja. She didnt speak a lick of Spanish when we got here, and half her family is menos activo and the other half arent members so every lesson was like 2 lessons in one. The first lesson was so the menos activos would understand, and the second was so that they could translate for Leti.
BUT! After getting all the lessons 3 times, she finally understood! And had desire! And she practically ran to the font as soon as we finished the opening hymn. hahahha it was adorable!!!! We snuck inside her room this week and her closet is covered with pictures of Jesus and people praying and Joseph Smith-- all stuff that she cut out so that she could study for her interview. AGH my heart melts!!!!
But enough of me talking Imma send pictures haha
un abrazo y un beso de paraguay!!!

For my halfway day Hermana Francani made me breakfast and a bunch of posters and we took a lot of pictures. The Cranneys were traveling so we didnt go out for icecream but when then get back probably we will. Everybodys saying im gonna train a new hermana this cambio but Im hoping to stay another cambio with Hermana Francani

Happy Mother's Day
Hey yall
This week was cool cuz I got to see family 1 and family 2 on the skypppeee! Yay!!! It was literally the best thing in the entire world to talk to my family in Spanish and we could like... talk in Spanish. Ah! Even if the mission does nothing for anyone, at least I can speak Spanish and that is such a huge blessing for me and my family! "Todas las cosas han sido hecho segun la sabiduria de aquel que todo lo sabe." 2 Nefi something or other never been good with references.
This week I also received information that my emails are cryptic and confusing. GOOD. hahah no really I'll try to be more clear.
This is my daily schedule verse one-- to be sung to the tune of When Will My Life Begin from Tangled:
Half hour to seven the usual morning lineup
Roll out of bed and pray for the day on my knees!
Situp and pushups that dont really help at all
Pray again and by then its like 7:15
So then I'll read a book or maybe 2 (bible) or 3 (d&c)
I'll add a few new citas to my agenda-llery
I'll spray for bugs and then we pray and basically
just wonder when will my mission begiiiiin.
The third line needs work but you know.
Happy Mothers Day everyone! I have learned a lot about the importance of moms on the mission. I'm grateful to have so many wonderful women in my life!
Besito! Diligence!
Hermana Scott
Some photos. Including: Drinking mate in my pajamas because its a freezing 60 degrees, the flies on Elder McNultys birthday cake, eating icecream at the German mans store in Concepcion, being dumb with Hermana Francani, and other adventures in the which I took a picture.

hey [family] remember when we went to that civil war reenactment and they were selling pickles on sticks but then you wouldnt let us buy them and so we bought our own pickles and ate them on top of the mountain? Well even if you dont heres a picture of me finally fulfilling my dream of eating a pickle on a stick.

Horqueta and the Ice Age
Dear everyone,
I am a shame to my paisanos and brethren of the state of Utah. Its only like 60 degrees farenheit here and I am wearing 3 pairs of socks, leggings, my skirt, my shirt my scarf my sweater my other sweater and my coat.
Sitting by the heater.
Drinking hot chocolate.
Please do not make fun of me.
Its been a weird new challenge to suffer coldness instead of insufferable heat, but thats been this week haha. Nobody in Paraguay has got heating and so we all freeze our bums off outside for all our lessons. I think the length of our lessons has shortened to 15 minutes maximum. I think it also takes approximately 15 minutes for your blood to freeze in your veins, so theres a correlation there.
Ha! Im so funny.
Hermana Francani is a powerhouse missionary like literally if missionaries were singers she would be Kelly Clarkson. We´ve seen a lot of little miracles this week. Less active members that come to church, we met up with old investigators we´d thought we´d lost, people who have lost interest suddenly hear something that touches them, things like that. Its been nice.
We are teaching ¨if you love me keep my commandments¨ and so far its been effective. One 17 year old menos activo showed up at church chanting it like a mantra so we know it works
Hope all of you are doing well. Un besito!
Hermana Scott
This change we´ve decided to do a district wide workout plan-- I think you can deduct how well its going from the words ¨chocolate milk¨hahahahah
