Boda/Bautismo/Lessons Learned

Heyall,
As you all know, this week we had our big wedding baptism shindig! I would like to announce that I am never going to host a wedding ever ever ever ever in my life ever again. :) BUT in spite of all the stressssssssss it all went off without a hitch!
Cool story: The night before the wedding, at like, 10:26 we get this call from our zone leader who says, "Hey we have been thinking about your investigators and we would like to invite you to have the entire family baptized tomorrow." .. and we be like, "Uhhhh the daughters fault one asistence? what is the word for that in english?! Asistence to the church and they also need 3 more lessons." And hes like "you have the permission of the president, the assistants, and us to do it." and we're like.... "ooookay we will pray about it and get back to you!"
And so we prayed. We had this huge conference right, about how we need to baptize CONVERTS and we're like, we don't want to baptize anyone who doesnt completely understand their baptismal covenant! They haven't finished the lessons!! and God said "BAPTIZE THEM" and so we did. We spent all day teaching the last lessons, arranging various baptismal interviews, and finding clothes, and at the end of the day the entire Gutierrez family walked away, baptized, married and all.
Whew.
So.
It was great! It was all worth it when Alba, the 13 year old, had the bravery to share a very simple, very sincere, and very powerful testimony. It was frosting on the cake when her mom gave a testimony that she "has found the true path" and she's in it "until the end." The temple presidents made a suprise appearance at our Sacrament meeting yesterday and gave a cordial welcome to our little family. #nobettertheme #perfection
And so I am tired but happy. I have learned a million lessons from the Spirit this week and unfortunately I don't have time to write them all. Just would like to add that in Jacob 5 theres a verse that says that the servants of the vineyard worked with all their strength, and the Lord of the vineyard worked with them, and I feel like there is no better finish to this weeks update.
Take care!!! Oh my heck I love all of you so so so much. Be obedient! :D

Muriendo de Calor (dieing of heat)

Como estaaan todos??
Esta semana tuvimos (this week we had) a lot of good things and a lot of struggles, but asi es la mision!!! Good things: HERMANA NOORDA CAME FOR DIVISIONS so I got to spend a whole day working with my mom. She got all mature and boring being an hermana lider so that was disappointing hahaha but we had fun getting lost in the forest. ITaugau is way too big. XD
The other good thing is that we had a "District" moment!!! We had an activity of the Church watching Meet The Mormons and guess what? It was FULL! Menos activos, investigators, members, everyone! We had a little comida, and then we had a lot of sharing and great! IT was beautiful!
AND THEN! We had FOUR investigators in Church this Sunday! Ah! I about cried! And everyone was so friendly and the messages were so great and oh wow. I was so happy.
I'm also fighting some weird sickness. But Hermana Diaz is the best. She takes care of me and she makes me juice and she is making me take my temperature every five seconds hahahah but really I am so so so blessed. ITs been great and a great week here to come!!! Boda y bautismo (marriage and baptism)!
Love you all SO MUCH. Remember that Gods ways are not our ways, and that we have something to learn in every situation! He will be our light and our protection and comfort. :) Fact.

Manna or Mangoes

Yoooohooo! Hello family!! No, I did not forget to add you, I just didn't write last week hahah sorry! Nothing cool is happening so I didn't write! ..

We're just walking in the sun, eating abundant fruits from off the trees, sweating buckets, and oh yeah, planning a wedding.

Ha! We found a reference of PURE GOLD two weeks ago, his name is Richard. Richard has a lot of faith. He told us our first lesson that he prayed and he had a feeling that he needed to find a different church. And then that he realized he was living in sin because he was not married to his pareja, Elisa. Who is a menos activo. Richard's biggest problem is that he won't pray to know the church is true because he "feels a special feeling in his heart and knows its true," thereby eliminating all purpose for asking. Esta familia me mata!!

Richard and Elisa are going to be married the 23 of this month and Richard will be baptized afterwards, and two of their three daughters will be baptized the following week.
In my setting apart I was blessed to watch "families be made whole" through the gospel of Jesus Christ. And I've been studying in 2 Nephi 4,5,6, about how God will fulfil ALL promises He's made to His children and gee, people, I am SO BLESSED to be here watching it all happen.

Literally, it's so humbling. I have learned a lot. I was thinking all about preparing better my teaching, about teaching more simply, about helping people understand, but with Richard I am seeing that the Holy Ghost really does all of it and you just have to show up hahaha. Nah, I kid. Mostly. But really. The Holy Ghost teaches everything. We just do the best we can. When they are really seeking, they will find!

But wish me luck on all of this. Having never planned a wedding and scarcely planned a baptism I am under a little bit of stress. XD Can we build it?! YES WE CAN!

You guys are great. Thanks for listening to my rants. hahah love all of you, Hermana Scott
PS Shout out to the Talbot cousins, all of whom decided to get married in the ONE YEAR that I'm not at home. Gee, people. :)
