Piki y Pichi viajan a Asuncion

Estoy bien. Tenia mis heridas de la semana y estoy bien.

uhhh ingles is good too. So funny story I had to go to asuncion to get Hermana Francani but we missed the collectivo and ended up camping out for like four hours in the terminal in asuncion. But it was a great way to start the change! We have a lot of work to do and its nice to have new eyes to look at the problems.

This week I learned that braiding hair counts as service.

The best part of this week is when we were teaching Hermana Frutos how to read. She learned L M N O P and in the end, I wrote out MONO and I asked her to read it. She was doing great and then gave up, but after some coaching she put the letters together and read mo..no.. mo...no... AH! Mono! And I literally cried because it was the most awesome moment of my life.

The work goes forward. God has answered all my prayers this week.

Love you all!!!!
Hermana Scott

Note: I noticed that Kaitlin didn't send out an email to everyone this week.  Sometimes the Internet is spotty there is Horqueta so we have to be patient with that.  I did get a personal email and here are some highlights.  -Becky

xxOOxx

This week Nanci came to church. Her husband is in the Chaco working and so she came to church with her kids, seven, five, two, and 3 months. She basically upped our asistencia by half hahahah but she is really awesome. Shes really blunt but it works because she asks all the questions that come to her head. She told us this week that even though she has a lot of coffee in her house, that now she doesnt drink it she just drinks milk. YAY! Its those little miracles that lead to conversion!!! Shes supposed to be baptized next month but we will see because she wants to get baptized with her husband and we dont know when he will get back from the Chaco.

Its been a rough week because of Kaitlin problems but Im going to keep trying.

I dont know what else to say. Today we went to Presidentes farm and we ate some mandarin oranges and said hi to the cows an the turkeys with the elders. Thats about as exciting as it gets over here hahah. Oh! And Junior went to church this week. Hes our recent convert and hes nine. He kicked the chairs and looked at the sky for all of sacrament meeting but he came hahaha so thats good. And our Relief society president taught relief society for the first time this week! And we actually had a relief society get together this week also which is another one of those little successes.

... yep thats about it. Sorry this week was a lame one haha

Love you so so so so much

Note:  Kaitlin's time must have been short this week because she didn't get out an email to everyone. I did, however, get a short note from her:

"Its weird how the time flies. I literally still feel like I'm in August. I feel like all of this has been a permanent august. I don't know if its for the weather or what. I try to actively enjoy the mission but I'm worried that by the time I learn to love it it will be time for me to go home haha. Because thats how those things work.

"The Gospel is one size fit all. I always ask God what more can I do? and he always tells me something I have to work on or another job to do... maybe that will work for you too? Be honest with God! Some days I tell him  that I'm so bored and so frustrated and I whine like a baby and then the Holy Ghost always tells me something that I need to do more."

O Elderes de Israel

Heeeeyyy you guuuuuuyyyss!!!

So this week was awesome! Temple trip, and then we got conference, and it was great! This week I have enjoyed again the incredible blessings of the Priesthood of God.

I dont know what more to say, our temple trip was good. Its about 7 hours to Asuncion so it was a long ride on the collectivo there and back but just like they said in conference, There is no sacrifice too great to receive temple blessings haha. The Asuncion temple is REALLY small like barely has enough space for one of every room but it has beautiful woodworking. It was nice to go with the missionaries and remember the bigger picture.

We ate pizza hut!!! And then president McMullin said, well, Hermanas Scott and Martinez, how about you go on divisions? And we{re like uhhhh okay. So we spent the entire day with other Hermanas which was awesome! And then we took the 11:15 collective home to Horqueta and we got home at four in the morning energized.

As usual General Conference answered all my questions. I took away a few principles, but it was amazing to me the call to repentance that I heard throughout the conference. Remember, people, when the prophets preach repentance its time to repent and come home because... you know. The book of Ether all over again haha. And I LOVE all the talks on service and defending the family and remembering our true identity. It makes me want to rip all my clothes and make a banner... type... standard thing. If I had a standard of liberty I would write on it FOR FAMILY FOR MORALITY FOR TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE AND VIRTUE and then I would lead my entire city into battle.

OH and get this! Elida and Javier and their kids and their mother in law and their brother came to the last session of conference! It was a christmas miracle!

I liked the talk by Elder Holland because I feel like it was written just for me. Also who knows this stuff about fui forestero.mormon.org? What is that?

LOVE
Hermana Scott
